Marketing Operations Coordinator
General Description:
The Marketing Operations Coordinator plays an important role in the planning, coordination and execution of marketing initiatives for the Houston Rockets and Houston Comets. This position focuses on the day-to-day organization and execution of marketing operations, promotional planning and integrated marketing efforts, helping ensure campaigns, promotions and gameday initiatives are well organized, accurately communicated and delivered on schedule.
Working closely with the Marketing Operations Manager, this role coordinates marketing deliverables across Marketing and Revenue teams and serves as a key resource for managing project details, timelines, assets and communications. The Marketing Operations Coordinator will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of marketing initiatives, including promotional campaigns, game themes, giveaways, partner activations, gameday programs and cross-functional marketing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update the promotional matrix calendar for all home and away games, including uniform scripting, themes, giveaways and partner title nights.
- Coordinate the collection, organization and distribution of gameday marketing notes, activations and promotional priorities to internal teams.
- Track project timelines, deliverables and approvals across multiple marketing initiatives, proactively communicating updates and identifying potential issues or delays.
- Coordinate the details and execution of theme nights, giveaways and promotional initiatives, ensuring campaign elements, assets and communications are aligned.
- Serve as a day-to-day liaison with Game Presentation, Social Media and other Marketing teams to coordinate influencer and content creator activations around games and marketing initiatives.
- Work alongside the Corporate Partnerships and Brand Experience teams to coordinate logistics and marketing elements associated with experiential activations at Toyota Center games.
- Facilitate the delivery of promotional materials to the Performance Marketing team for distribution across television, radio, print, social media, web and email marketing.
- Work with Digital and Fan Experience teams to coordinate gameday touchpoints and communications, helping ensure thematic consistency across campaigns and the fan experience.
- Write marketing copy for creative assets, promotional materials and other campaign communications
- Coordinate day-to-day communications and logistics with third-party promoters, media partners, vendors and community organizations as needed.
- Research new platforms, vendors, promotional opportunities and community organizations that may expand the reach and effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Participate in cross-functional planning with Marketing and Revenue departments, including Corporate Partnerships, Ticketing, Suites and Retail, to coordinate marketing campaigns and tactical initiatives.
- Compile campaign information, track results and assist with post-campaign recaps and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, promotions, project coordination or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MUST be able to work several evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by NBA and WNBA schedule.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under time constraints in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple moving pieces while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Adobe products preferred.
- Knowledge of creative production, video production, digital, and print preferred.
