Project Assistant for PR / Public Affairs Firm
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual to join our frim as a project assistant.
For almost 30 years, our boutique PR and public affairs firm has been at the forefront of high profile for a world of corporate and quasi-government clients. We are seeking a bright, committed and talented candidate to be part of our award-winning team. We pride ourselves in doing great work for a broad array of great clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in developing and executing public relations strategies for our clients
Brainstorm and collaborate within a fast-paced team with ever changing deadlines and priorities
Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, elected officials, community leaders and the media
Help in planning news conferences and client events
Analyze media coverage; develop responses when needed
Create presentations, articles, reports, and information as needed
Write clear, persuasive and relevant copy that incites action and creates/raises awareness for our clients
Take an active involvement in attending local events, luncheons and events for elected officials
Create and manage deadlines, and schedules
Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, within reason!
Handle social media for the company, and develop strategy for clients
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, business, political science or related field
2-3 years of experience in public relations, public affairs or related field, internships included
Excellent computer skills; proficient in various applications for Apple/Mac
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills
Ability to attend both luncheons and after hours events
Strong project management skills with ability to oversee multiple projects
Available to work to meet all deadlines when necessary
The ability to positively interact with a variety of corporate clients and elected officials
