Join BakerRipley's Volunteer Services and Marketing team and gain hands-on experience supporting volunteer engagement, marketing initiatives, and department operations. The Volunteer Services & Marketing Intern will assist with graphic design projects, social media content, volunteer database management, volunteer communications, and administrative support. This position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to support both creative and operational projects. This internship is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit marketing, volunteer engagement, graphic design, and community impact while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Create social media content, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva
Manage volunteer records within the Volunteer Management System
Upload volunteer opportunities, posts, and announcements
Respond to volunteer inquiries and assist with managing the volunteer Facebook group
Support administrative projects, data entry, filing, and reporting
Assist with event preparation and volunteer engagement activities
Organize marketing materials, supplies, and storage areas, including the storage areas
Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
Duration: 6-month Internship
QualificationsEDUCATION
Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field
EXPERIENCE
Experience using Canva is required
Social media experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Comfortable balancing creative projects with administrative responsibilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
LANGUAGES
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
