Position Summary
The Marketing and Digital Media Content Specialist plays a critical role in achieving AVANCE-Houston's communication objectives by producing high-quality videos, photos, and social media and website content. As a vital member of the Communications Department, this position will be responsible for managing AVANCE's social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels. Additionally, they will coordinate logistics for special events and programs while producing content for all AVANCE programs. This position will highlight the agency's successes across all social media channels, email, and webpage.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
This position requires working primarily in an indoor or office environment but is not limited. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is a key requirement for this role. It's essential for interacting with colleagues and clients. The role involves operating a variety of office equipment, including computers. This requires good finger and hand dexterity. Be prepared for long periods of sitting or standing to work with a computer, camera, or other equipment. Cameras, tripods, banners, and office supplies may need to be lifted and transported. Additionally, bending, kneeling, and reaching may be necessary. Driving to visit AVANCE centers/programs and other sites is an expected part of the role.
